“PAN India Awareness and Outreach Programme” launched at District SAS Nagar

As per directions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, under the guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ajay Tewari, Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court-cum-Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Sh. R.S. Rai, Ld. District & Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar launched “PAN India Awareness and Outreach Programme” at District SAS Nagar which shall cover all the villages from 2nd October, 2021 to 14th November, 2021. 

      Walkathon was organized by District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar to make the people aware about free legal services in which more than 150 persons including Judicial Officers, Panel Lawyers, Para-Legal Volunteers, employees, social workers and people from different walks of life participated. The walkathon was started from Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Sohana and culminated at District Courts Complex, SAS Nagar.

        Apart from this, walkathon was also organized at Sub-Divisions Dera Bassi and Kharar.

        SML van bearing No.PB-65N-0927 was flagged by Sh. R.S. Rai, Ld. District & Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar. The van visited the villages of Shingariwala, Mastgarh, Ratwara Sahib, Paintpur and Mullanpur Garibdas. Legal awareness programmes were organized by Ms. Geetanjali Bali, Panel Lawyer and Sh. Ravinder Puri social worker. 

        On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, a cleanliness drive was organized at District Courts Complex, SAS Nagar in which Judicial Officers, staff and workforce meant for cleanliness participated. Under cleanliness drive, each and every nook and corner of the complex was made neat and clean.

        On the launch of PAN India Awareness and Outreach Programme a press conference was organized. Sh. R.S. Rai, Ld. District & Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar addressed the media correspondents regarding the Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme and requested them for coverage of the campaign w.e.f. 02.10.2021 to 14.11.2021 in such a manner that the message of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi may be heard by each and every person of the district.
