Mohali Administration constitutes flying squads to check recycling of Paddy

To thwart recycling and bogus milling of paddy/rice, the District Administration constituted the flying squads for the district to check these illegal practices.

Divulging about this development, the Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ms. Isha Kalia said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi, has decided to constitute these squads at Market Committee level so that recycling and bogus milling menace could be brought under check. She informed that the teams comprising officials of Civil, Mandi Board, Tax & Excise/GST Wing and Police department. She stated that these teams will conduct surprise visits in the nights throughout the districts.


Ms. Kalia further added that these Flying Squads will submit their daily status report of their activities. She apprised that the Tehsildar Navpreet Singh will lead the squad of Lalru, which comprises Mandi Supervisor Jagdeep Singh and Inspector GST Wing SAS Nagar Amandeep Dutt. She further added that Naib Tehsildar Gurpreet Singh Dhillon will supervise the Squad of Banur, which included Secretary Market Committee Inderjit Singh and Inspector GST SAS Nagar Gurpreet Singh. She revealed that Naib Tehsildar Kulvinder Singh, Tehsildar Jaswinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar Deepak Bhardwaj will lead the squad Derabassi, Kharar and Kurali respectively.
